Does anyone else find their elliptical trainer uncomfortable to use?

Different machines have different stride lengths. If your gym carries different brands, you may want to try a different brand to see if it is more comfortable. Also, bu sure to stand upright and don't lean forward. Try a combination of both forward and backward movements to promote muscle balance. I too, find it somewhat awkward, but it is a good change from the treadmill. I try to use a variety of equipment for my cardio workouts.
I like it better then the tread mill.
I don't think you're weird, I feel as if my body is in an unnatural position too. I am small with short arms and legs but there is no way I can see to adjust the machine. And the difference doesn't prevent me from being able to use the machine. It just feels odd.
I also get dizzy when I look down while using the elliptical :) . Now I just don't look down!
Different machines feel differently. The ones at the gym I go to are very comfortable and smooth. I was looking into buying my own, but the only ones I could afford felt like my feet were too far apart or something else that just made it uncomfortable. I just use the ones at the gym.
Yeah I feel that way too. I bought an Eclipse elliptical a few months ago, and it took some getting used to. I use it 4-5 times a week now, and I've gotten used to it. It just took some time.
