Crew workouts?
Question:
Answers:
I never participated in crew myself, but I had several workout partners that were on some very good college teams. The most obvious answer is the back and leg muscles. However, the biggest problems that guys I worked out with ran into were muscle imbalances. Their backs were so strong, and chest and abs so weak that they would get injured on a regular basis. It was not the imbalance per say that would cause the injury but crewing is a very physically demanding sport and it contributed to their injuries. So while working you legs, including, Glutes, Hamstring, and Quad muscles, along with back will help you in crew, make sure you work the other muscles as well, especially your abs, chest and shoulders.
Good Luck
