I am a mother of two children and know how hard it is carve out the time for exercise. I sometimes will use 30 minutes of my lunch hour to take a brisk walk. I do this when I know I can't get to the gym or going walking in the evening.
When you are at school or running errands instead of parking close, park further away. This gives you an opportunity to walk as well. Also, whenever possible instead of taking an elevator use the stairs.
Hope this helps!
Try walking. It is the easiest form of exercise. Try walking more. For example, park further away from the store or your class on campus. The extra walking will add up.
Oh yeah! while in the shower soap up your hands
and rub your bellie and various parts of your body
fast it helps alot. Shake it and lose it. rubbing
and rubbing and its good under the arms also
motion up and down.
Walking is the best to start with. Once you start losing weight, you will have more energy and you can up your cardio to either fast power walking or running.
I'm currently on Weight Watchers. They give u recipes and food lists u could use.
As for exercise, i too never did any as busy mum of two, so I took up walking and leaving the car at home. I started by walking to pre school with boys, then gradually built it up to walk further.
After a few weeks I then took up aqua aerobics as it's easier in water but hurts like hell when u get out of the water, this lasts about a week.
I can't afford to go to gym and don't like my body enough to show it off there either so I brought an "air walker and stepper" for home and once boys tucked up in bed I use this.
I have been doing this for 10 weeks and have lost 14 pounds.
Hi, wow Ive been here before! I lacked ALOT of will power and I gained 30 kgs with my 1st child, then lost 10kgs - with my second I gained 10 kgs. I was depressed. I waited a year and then I found a 28 day program targeted to mums and busy people. I bought it for $50 - I figured the guarantee sounded good. It was worth it! I lost 8 kgs in 28 days and I continue to lose 1/2 kg a week! I tried all sorts of diets - always regained. This one I haven't put on any more weight again. I have 4 kgs more to lose and its happening. Thank God. I finally have energy to handle the 2 kids and I can fit the eating and exercise program in to a day. The exercises are quick but good. I fit them in between the baby time and housework. Have a look at it see what you think...I recommend it for sure. Its at

Try the simple things, like taking the stairs instead of the elevator or escalator, bring your bike to school and park your car further away than normal, and buy lots of fresh foods. You could take up a sport that you could do with your kids, like soccer, that you can do in your backyard whenever you have a half an hour to spare.
When you first wake up, commit to 10 minutes of continuous exercise Choose only three movements and perform each in succession without stopping for 10 minutes. For example, you can perform modified push-ups on Monday, followed by crunches for your abs followed by stationary lunges. On Tuesday, you can perform free-standing squats with hands on hips, double crunches for abs and close-grip modified push-ups (hands 3-inches apart) for your triceps. All in 10 minutes! Just take a quick breather when you need it.
Perform timed interval walking in your neighborhood or at lunch. If it takes 10 minutes to walk to a certain destination near your office or in your neighborhood, try to make it in eight minutes. You can also do this first thing in the morning before work as well as on your lunch break.
If you have stairs in your home or in your work place, commit to taking the stairs a specific number of times. Tell yourself that you’ll take the stairs six or eight times (no matter what).
While seated, perform some isometric exercise to help strengthen and tighten your muscles. For example, while in a seated position, simply contract the abdominals for 30 seconds while breathing naturally. You can also tighten and contract your legs for 60 seconds. Perform about three sets per area. You’ll feel your muscles get tighter in just three weeks if you perform this a few times per week.
Hope this helps:)
First of all, I must warn you that losing weight is hard business and there is no shortcut around it. If you are serious about this, then the next 3.5-5 months (that's how long it should take you to lose 40 lbs) will be painful, but the reward will be great. It sounds like you are looking for something time effective. Here, let me recommend a simple exercise that is often overlooked for its plainness, but very effective nonetheless.
Running. Running is basically the fastest, simplest way to lose calories, and it requires no gym membership or anything (I could also recommend a sport but you seem like you don't have time for that. However, running can become boring, so it's not a bad idea to take an iPod or the like with you (also bring someone else to run with you, if possible, for support). It needs to be done for about 1 hour a day (lose 500 calories), along with eating less (by 500 calories), if you plan on losing two lbs a week (again, it's a long hard road)--even more if you plan on three, which is the maximum recommended loss of pounds per week for people who are dieting.
Also, while I recommend you eat healthier, that is not how you lose weight. You lose weight by eating less calories (which is only partly done by eating healthier) so you need to track how many calories you are consuming a day, as find out what your daily caloric intake should be. So while I commend you wanting to find healthy meals, even more important, for your purposes, is knowing how many calories are in those meals. Do not consume less than 1200 calories a day (this will make the effort of losing weight backfire and slow down your metabolism), but probably no more than 1600 calories.
Good luck and God bless.
Try the UN diet. It promises you will lose weight and you don't need to exercise with it. My mom lost 44 pounds in 3 months
