How do I get over the workout plateau?
Question:
Answers:
You need to keep a journal of everything that you are eating! I mean everything! that includes snacks. If you are eating the same foods every week.well change up and try other things. If you are eating chicken and fish every week, next week eat lean steak. Your body gets used to the same diet and exercise. Also change your exercise routine. Your body needs a "shock" to get over that plateau. Also if you change your diet and exercise program, you will be less likely to get bored and frustrated.
And..you may want to stay off the scales and quit weighing yourself because the biggest difference is in how your clothes feel on you. You may be gaining muscle and this is why the number on the scales are not changing.
Good Luck!
I would consider simply measuring inches. If you've been biking that much, you've probably gained a LOT of muscle weight in your legs, which will counteract the weight loss that you'd be seeing. Your body may be getting more dense and tone, but you could actually be gaining weight.
Well done by the way on your efforts and achievement thus far!! I had to shock my body and metabolism to keep losing weight after the kids.I used a program called 28 days. It fools your body into burning more fuel. I finally am losing the weight I carried for years and Im eating normal. I eat 5 meals a day. and I have heaps of energy.
