A Good Way To Lose Weight Without Totally Over Hauling Life?

Question:
I'm 17 and about 230 pounds. It has zero influence on my daily life. I can do gym class, run with no joint pain, it doesn't influence my social life (girls still dig me ^_^) and the weight is mainly in my thighs and stomach. I don' t look obese but i am. I quit soda and now drink a mix of Snapple, Diet Snapple and water. Sure the Snapple isn't extremely healthy but it's a start. I know it takes a long time to get the weight off, and i know it won't kill me to lose a few pounds so are there any ways i can lose weight, but not completely change my life. I mean is it possible to not go on a strict diet but still lose some weight?

Answers:
Eat in moderation and walk for a little longer you need to walk at least an hour to make a difference.

try and not mix carbs and protein together as your body fines it hard to digest both and the same time;

other wise you could do a diet for two weeks and loose up to 2 pounds a day as long as you stick to it
The diet is called Scarsdale medical diet.
Go slow. and Snapple is not that healthy, as much as they claim it is. Water is the best and kudos to you for driniking it.

But If you must drink Snapple, diet seem to be the best, unless you get sick from the sweeteners.

I am doing this and slowly losing weight. I am slowly changing my life style. That way there is no huge shock to my stystem and the desire to revert back in really not there.

I quit eating french fries. Yep totally quit eating them. That was the first step. I liked them a lot, but now they pepulse me. So do something like that first.

Every once in a great while I will have about 1/4 small order. I just cannot stomach them now.

Then I started eating fresher foods, particuallry fruits, and some vegis. I do not like cooked vergis, but love them raw. But I make myself eat the cooked ones if they are set before me. You know I like a lot of them now and some I like a lot more. Some I still will not eat. Hey it's all good.

Fruit, I love, to me any fruit you eat is a freebie. Try to make it a variety in the summer, when more are in season. But keep on eating fruit in the winter.

One thing I love! Watermelon juice. Yep I juice the whole thing. The juice replaces a meal many times, because it is so filling. If you get hungry later have a light snack.

I have now gone to hormone free meats and milk. I fugure if they are feeding the animals hormones to make them bigger, what is in the meat? Yep Hormones to make us bigger.

It costs a bit more, but less cooks away, so in the long run it is about the same.

And that sick, heavy feeling after eating meats isn't there.

Yes I still get me a Culver's hamburger once in a while, and I know I cannot control the meats when I go out. So that was yet another lifestyle change. Eating more at home, and making the food myself. As much from scratch as possible.

Pre mnade foods are full of salt,s fat and other junk to preserve it.

I will make enough for two meals. I eat one that evening, and have the other for lunch or dinner the next day.

All of these changes has taken about a year. But I feel better and am losing my big fat belly.
