Are you getting enough protein? If you're a runner, you need LOTS of protein. Homemade protein shakes are great, and so are snacks like peanut butter and yogurt. Make sure you're eating plenty of lean meats or beans regularly.
Protein bars might help, but so many of them now have a bunch of other junk in them that defeats the purpose of a protein bar.
I also agree that more smaller meals should help. Try to incorporate more fiber, too. Again, beans are a great source of this, but you can get it in breads and other things of that nature.
Oh, and are you eating breakfast? If so, what are you eating? Make sure you have eggs or yogurt or something like that. Cereal isn't really that great for starting the day if you're active. If you're not eating breakfast, start.
try something like weight watchers. on this you can eat basically anything you want, but you have to count points that are equivalent to your weight. it's really works cause you can eat whenever as long as you don't exceed your points.
well are you eating enough during the day..also break your daily calorific intake into 5-6 meals that way you keep your body sufficiently fueled..
