Weight Loss & Excess Skin?

I recently loss about 50 lbs I went from 210 to about 150 and while every part of my body is thin and skinny except for my legs my lower stomach still looks a little fat, I was wondering could it be excess skin and how long would it take for that to tighten if it was or how could I tell?

Answers:
Yes it is excess skin. It will take a while for it to firm up and tone up since it has been stretched by 60 lbs of fat. Age and amount of time will also factor into the amount of time that it will take to firm up since the skin has been stretched.

I recently have lost 110 lbs and I still must lose some more about 50 lbs more so I know that it will take time but it does firm up. I thought that my skin would be looser and hanging more than it is. I have tried to do firming up ecxercises and I have done much walking and stationary bicycle riding and this has helped the skin to fit back into place. It does take a while since my skin was stretched for a long time and with much more wieght that had to be lost than you lost.

So I just wanted to let you know that it wll take you some time for the skin to go back into place and not look so "fat" and "flabby" as you see on yourself. But it will go back. Just keep walking and stretching and bicycle riding if you can.

You do not have to overdue it and tire yourself out just do a sensible amount and be patient.

U know i have this same problem, and so far it hasnt gone away. Now im trying to take in more than 25 grams of protein in every meal and excercise and lieft weights so maybe it will tighten up otherwise, my only option will be surgery!
skin will not tighten by itself as it is not a muscle. built up in ur muscles so tat it can 'pull' ur skin in tighter..
