Cucumbers are like iceburg lettuce. They have almost ZERO calories. They HAVE some but not enough to count it or to list it on the jar. They dont have much nutritional value either. (again like iceburg lettuce) Same for watermelon. They are mostly water and pretty much just go right through you. But arent they yummy?
my sis says after eating more than one they have calories!
she has the calorie scale
Pickles do have calories so I am not sure where you saw they don't. The whole pickles in my fridge say 5 calories on the label per serving.
pickles have about 5-15 calories for a spear.
they are made from cucumbers, which are mostly water, and have hardly any calories either.
They're made of cucumbers and vinegar and spices. They may make you retain water... which would translate to added weight. I wouldn't go overboard on them.
Cucumbers have no calories too!! You urine most of it out and the solids (skin&seeds) digest. Not a dumb ?...
It isn't so much the calories that pickles do have (not many but some)- it is the sodium- often times sodium is worse than calories themselves, sodium retains water weight, bulks you up- (bloat).
Pickles are cucumbers in vinegar and spices.
There is actually very little calories mostly water in a cucumber. Only difference in a pickle is vinegar and salt.
