How many calories should i consume?
Question:
i like to eat alot (try to be somewhat healthy, usually not much)
more slender, recently gained some weight (mostly muscle)
20 years old and have been in good shape always, but i workout so i wont get out of shape
scared of gaining weight, but i reallly enjoy food!
how many calories would you say so that i can stay the same weight ,while enjoying food?

normal people eat 2,000cal
2000 is the normal amount for athletics but 1500 a day is noraml for the average person and if your a couch potato then u should consume least
basically you should consume as many calories as you can burn off. But I guess like 1000-2000 a day is normal
When you read on packages "based on a 2,000 calorie diet" that is the very minimum you should be consuming in a day.
Here's my philosophy.
*If you want to keep your figure but not have to count calories, be sure you eat what you want, but limit portions. Fad dieting never works forever. Also, eat more meals in a day-- 4 to 5 is ideal; just make them smaller.
*If you get a major hunger pang, drink some water. Sometimes when you're thirsty your body gives you hunger pains.
*Don't eat 3 hours before bed. That's a biggie.
*The bottom line is that you don't have to get rid of food you like to lose weight or maintain your figure-- you just have to limit the amount of your favorite foods you eat.
