Should i lose weight? HELP!?

Question:
i am 13 years old. i'm almost 5'8" which is REALLY tall for my age. my friends and family are always saying "oohhh you're so skinny" and "you have such a great body." but when i look at myself that's not what i see. yes, i'm not fat-looking. but i weigh 137 lbs!! which is a lot! i think that it may just be my huge femurs (thigh bones) and everyone agrees. but i am starting to obsess over losing weight, and i thought if i lost some i would stay there--i got down to 128 at one point and my friends/family were worried about me. please help this is starting to scare me!! I am starting to scare MYSELF!!! :[ should i lose the weight? i don't know what to do.

Answers:
@ 13 u should feel perfect the way you are. but of course no 13-year-old girl in her right mind does. when u reach a certain age THEN you can rightfully obsess over your weight. you weigh a lot, I'm not going to lie, but you're like freakishly tall! here are the rules:

5'0 = 100 lbs
5'1 = 105 lbs - 112 lbs
5'2 = 110 lbs - 124 lbs

Get it?? every inch after 100 lbs you can add 5-12 lbs to your weight and still be totally all right. so 5'8 means you can be 196 lbs comfortably, right? but of course you want to be the minamum which is 140 lbs. you're totally fine. stop worrying!! excersice if u want but stick to a healthy diet and don't stop eating that's the worst thing that could happen!

to directly answer your questions I wouldn't lose weight until i was sure i was overweight consult a doctor

good luck and dont be afraid to go to your doctor he or she will tell you your ideal weight and how to get there! =) always chic! always me!
No. Not at all. You are already in the LOW range of the recommended weight for your height. And the other reason you shouldn't..you are in puberty. Your body is going to change a LOT. So, since you are already in the low weight range for 5'8"..leave it ALONE.
When a bunch of people tell you "you're so skinny"..you need to believe them. They're right.

To successfully lose weight, you must carry out
a plan to balance your caloric intake with exercise.
Ideally, dieting should be done by eating a nutritionally
balanced, low-calorie diet and increasing physical activity.
I found useful informations at
Just eat healthily and stay slim.

Try low carb, low fat, high fibre, high protein, and exercise. The foods are low caloried, and yet filling and healthy.

It is my lifestyle now. I am on low carb, low fat, high fibre, high protein and a hour brisk walk 5 times a week, and I have lost 31lbs/14kg and gained better health. I am now maintaining my 108lbs/49kg for more than a year, with more fruits and complex carbs.

Details such as my experience, meals, recipes, foods to buy, reading labels, walking as an exercise and to shape the body etc etc, are in my blog.
