Tips for a calorie counting diet!!?

Question:
Okay, I am 12 years old and I weigh 188 lbs. and want to go on a diet(a calorie counting diet). I already talked to my doctor and she said that I should intake 1600 to 1800 calories per day to loose weight. I plan to exercise for 30 mins each day(not including daily P.E. at school) on weekdays and 1 hour on weekends. I am writing down my calorie intake for every thing that I eat and then adding it all up at the end of the day. I also should note that I'm only drinking water, no sodas no juice no anything except water or fruit flavored water. I was wondering what would be some cool healthy, low-calorie snacks and and fun ways for me to exercise.

Answers:
get a walk man and walk for an hour a day. i did this and went from 186 to 138 in one summer. i drank water only ( i dont know about this fruit flavored stuff... if it has sodium stay away from it) and limited my portions to cut calories rather than staying away from food i liked all-together. Good luck, just stick to it and think of that bikini you will be wearing next year!
Congratulations Reggie on working out my friend.
I am 100% supporting you with this mission of yours.

As far as low calorie snacks you can eat, I'd stick to fat free yogurts, or having a handful of almonds or unsalted peanuts as low calorie snack options.

As far as fun ways to do exercise, play tag, play basketball, have pushup contests, turn everything into a game and you will not even realize that you were actually exercising.

Good luck Reggie and keep me posted on your results!
