I actually answered one of your other posts to this same question...hope the answers gave you some ideas.I am a personal trainer and want to assure you that adding weights to your work out will not make you gain in size...as long as the amount of weight you use is an amount you can do 8-10 reps with you will not add but tone okay.the key is to make sure you are eating right and exercising in what ever form you feel fits your schedule...you should try to do three fat burn work-outs each week and over all toning...try to stay away from junk food but DO NOT starve yourself.eat something small and healthy every 3-4 hrs...drink lots of water.
As for the work out...just as FYI...I do the machines at the local gym.I do hip abductor/adductor with 95-110 pounds, and I do squats with 155 pounds.I of course worked up to these amounts but in doing so slimmed down from a size 10 to a size 4.I work out 3-4 times a week. It took about 2 months.just keep at it...don't get frustrated
you're just being self conscious. don't go nuts, i'm sure you look fine the way you are. girls whose legs don't touch look frail and like they desperately need a cheeseburger. don't be like that.
Swimming is great for toning without bulk. I used to swim a lot and I can tell the difference now that I'm not. Even just walking in a 3 foot deep pool of water (if you can't swim) can be great for tone w/o bulk.
Don't don't DON'T starve yourself. I'm still recovering from anorexia due to wanting to do the very same thing. Sorry, hon, but other than genetics or starving, nothing will make your legs 'skinnier'. You CAN make your legs thinner by running, because they will become muscle instead of fat. I run daily and have great thighs to prove it!
i 'm doing the Atkins diet right now, and i hope it will hope. you don't have to stop eating, which is why I'm doing it. good luck
