How long can vitamin capsules be kept and consumed past the expiry date?

Until the capsules start to appear like they are breaking down or disintegrating. Keep them in a cool, dry place and they will last a long time.
mine are 6 mo old and i'm still taking them
I would not use them after about 3 months. Also be sure you store them properly according to the directions on the bottle as that can affect them too.

IF they are dry, then they can be used but any gel caplets should be thrown out.
