I'm officially bored now when going to the gym. What other things can i do to get exercise?

I've been going to the gym with my mom for a year and half now and i've lost a lot of weight. but i havent reached my goal yet. but i'm starting to get bored doing the same stuff every morning so i want to start swimming for exercise. any other ideas? i'm 17, so I can do just about any activity.

You may be a point where its harder to lose weight, especially if you do the same exercise everyday. Change up the exericise, and lifting weights helps build muscle and muscle burns calories even when you arent doing anything. Swimming would be an awesome exerise activity too. Also, if you want to lose more weight, eat healthier, it definitely makes a difference.
Enjoy your life, exercise when ever you get the opportunity, go for a walk, jog, swim, go out dancing, play a competitive sport, find a tennis partner, or just do what you enjoy a lot and incorporate exercise.
I travel for work alot. I usually bring either a hula hoop with me and a skipping rope. YOu can really do alot with those. I hula hoop while watching TV, great fun and work your tummy well.
i believe hiking is great! walking in general works, but using different muscles by walking in terrain that varies makes a world of difference. And at the same time you can enjoy nature. I was forced to walk to work one year, having moved and not having a car, and lost 50 pounds in 3 months! The walk was winding and I lived in a hilly area. I also see quite a lot of health magazines featuring tips on walking.
Walk, jog, bike.

Find an exercise partner, hire or consult with a personal trainer, buy an exercise dvd, take up a new sport as a hobby, join an amateur league, find someone who likes exercise and hang out with them.
