How to put ON weight?

I've been trying to put some weight on prefferably muscle.i was wonderin what kind of diet works and what types of exercise works best.

You should have a well-balanced diet: Carbohydrates, Proteins, Fats. Drink a lot as well.

If you want to put muscle on, then try to increase a bit the protein consumption, but do not forget the other important nutrients! Also, you will need to do do some physical activity: anything from running, to swimming, to gym, etc...or any sport you like.

However, I suggest you go and see a specialist on diet, because he or she will probably choose the best sort of diet for you.

Talking to a dietitian is the safest way... that way, you can work with them to set up a meal plan and exercise regiment to help you gain weight. It's great that you're working out and gaining a lot of muscle mass, though... not many people put that much into it.

Also, to note, the WORST way to gain weight is just to eat more... it's moreso eating the right things to gain the weight to make sure you're getting more of the healthy stuff.
Drinkin boost helps with gaining weight even tho it says weight loss. My mom has always told me to not drink it if I wanted to lose weight for that reason.
Eat more. Eat clean, healthy, unprocessed foods and plenty of protein.

Sleep. Your body grows and repairs when you sleep. Get 8 hours or whatever your body needs every night.

Do compound exercises with heavier weight. Bench press, rows, military press, squats, deadlifts, dips, pull-ups, etc. The idea is to work your entire body with efficient exercises that let you move a lot of weight (free weight rather than machines).

Lastly... don't overtrain. Give yourself at least a day off between workouts.
To gain weight you have to eat more calories than you burn. When adding calories, try to stay away from adding too much fat. While you can get fat from eating carbohydrates or protein, your body likes to use carbohydrates as fuel more than fat. To gain muscle, in addition to eating more you have to stimulate your muscles enough through resistance training that while they recover, they'll get bigger and stronger. To get an efficient workout you might want to join a gym if you aren't already a member.
