Is it true that Muscle weighs more than fat? I want to get more body volume but burn fat at the same time.?

Question:
I noticed that my figure is starting to change (I'm so excited!) but when I weighed myself I got scared because I didn't loose weight I actually gained 4 pounds but I am working out very hard and eating correctly plus I put off on all junk food and I am noticing my body changing in a great way just how I wanted it.
Is it true that muscle weighs more than fat? Thanks.....

Answers:
Yes, muscle weighs more than fat. Don't go by the number on the scale, eating healthy and how you look and feel is what matters. Congratulations on your fitness gains!
it is true. If you want to lose weight do more cardio than anything else. In cadio tho you will still gain muscle mass but a lot less than you would with weight training.
omgg!! same with me!!! my body was looking better but i weighed more! MUSCULE WEIGHS MORE THAN FAT!!!!!!!!!...
Well the 4 pounds you gained definitely sounds like muscle mass. Well Done.

Muscle does not weight more than fat. One pound of muscle is the same as one pound of fat.

But when you gain muscle your metabolism speeds up. So you burn more calories.

SO basically the more muscle mass you build the more fat you lose.

Look at any bodybuilder for an example.

Hope this helps.
Yes it is true. Don't depend on that scale. It depends on how you look and feel.
No, it is not true that muscle weighs more than fat. 4 pounds of muscle and 4 pounds of fat weigh exactly the same, but look a lot different. This is why when body composition changes, the body can look leaner and smaller, but the number on the scale doesn't budge. Keep eating well, keep exercising, and you will see results. Trust your eyes and your body, and ignore the scale.
Yes,that is true volumetrically because muscle is denser than fat.A fine example of what I mean is that steel is denser than wood.It is so much stronger as well.
Do what you have been doing and do not be alarmed at weight gain.It is what you think it is,muscle mass is being increased.
With weight training for instance, muscle and bone mass will increase.Be sure to feed the body accordingly, drink some milk every day and eat some meat for protein.
Let your figure be your guide and you will be flabbergasted at some things.
It will be counter-intuitive and it will run against the grain of popular thinking. However,it will still be there. The results will speak for themselves.

PS:Quibbling about one pound of fat weighs as much as one pound of muscle is ancillary. You are on the right track, one pound of muscle is a whole lot tighter than one pound of fat.
Yes, muslce weights more than fat. But It also uses more calories, so if there are two people at the same weight, but one has more muslce than the other, they will be burning more calories doing nothing than the other person with more fat.
Make sense?
A pound of fat takes up more space than a pound of muscle. A pound of fat is about the size a softball while a pound of muscle is about the size of a hardball.
