How much oil does a person need /day?? Is it 2 teaspoons?
Question:
Answers:
I think yo have misunderstood the whole thing on oil and fat. The thing about oil is that it is fats. Maybe saturated if you use more vegetable oils or unsaturated if you use olive oils.
Whatever the case, each gram of oil or fat gives you about 9 calories. The amount of oil you wanna have depends on your calorie needs in general. If on a diet of 2000 calories, you should aim that about 25 to 30% of the calories should come from fats. That means about 500 to 600 calories from fats itself which equates to about 45 to 57 grams of fats.
Remember that fats do not merely come from oil. Other food do contain fats like milk and breads thought hardly more that 5 grams. Do read the nutritional content of food items you eat. Of course you can expect that junk food like chips to contain more fats like almost 10 to 15 grams.
My advise is to monitor what you eat first for a week. Calculate how much grams of fats you actually take in a day adn see whether it exceeds your daily requirements. You can then judge if you can take 2 teaspoons of oil or less or more. If you ask me, so long as your meals are healthy and low in fat, adding a couple of tablespoons of olive oil in yoour diet is fine and will have desirable benefits in the longer run.
what are you talking about...
Yeah, ive never heard that before! ive never gulped down 2 teaspoons of oil before.... maybe water? you need like 3 glasses of water.... Huh?
Not exactly sure what you mean, but if you are talking cooking oil, that's not bad for you. It's full of unsaturated fat needed for a healthy lifestyle.
What the shiz?
Oil from the ground what? Flaxseed, olive, oregano, fish??
How can you post a question without using your brain? If people read "oil" how the heck will they know which kind.
no less than 20% of the daily calories should be derived from healthy fats
