16 year old male, is my weight alright?
I was just wondering if my weight is okay. I weigh 148 lbs, male, 16 years old.. I have been working on my pecs and arms for the past month, so I don't know my body fat%, and I play basketball pretty much everyday. Is my weight alright or should I start eating more? At home, all we we have to eat is veggie, lowfat food and nonfat foods (my parents are "healthy" people).
Am i fat? i am a 13 year old girl and i weigh 120 or 125 i am 5 feet tall..?
Answer:
The weight alone is a meaningless measurement without height. A healthy weight for you might be obese for a shorter person, or dangerously underweight for a taller person.
Go to the National Institutes for Health website and use the BMI calculator to figure out where you stand. There is a link in the sources for this post. BMI is admittedly not a perfect tool if you are extremely muscular, but it does help point you in the right direction.
You need to provide your height. Then you can calculate your BMI. Look "BMI chart" up on "Google Images". Now these charts are made for adults, which at 16 you are close enough to for a reasonable approx. of what your ideal weight should be.
How can I improve my fitness plan?
i think you've answered your own question..you don't need reassurance from us..your fine, it sounds like your picking up great habits from your parents and they are teaching you what you need to know about being healthy..keep exercising and weight training and just eat sensibly..your fine..your only 16, you still have some growing to do anyway..don't worry so much..there is nothing wrong with you
Ladies, what diet pills have REALLY worked for you?
well i don't know what your height is, that would of been helpful...as long as u feel good and are eating healthy your weight shouldn't really matter...believe me the older you get the more you tend to put on and its harder to take off. so enjoy yourself now while your young and don't stress about this. be a teen and have fun with your life
Do muse im doing the right piece?
How tall are you? When talking about weight, height usually plays a role also. It sounds like you're a healthy, excercise/sport active 16 year old and your weight sounds fine. When you lift weights, your muscle weighes more than fat because you are building the muscle fibers up. It sounds like you're fine!
