True, fruits do contain a lot of sugar, but they require a lot of bodily energy to digest them, so they have virtually no caloric value. Also, fruits provide vitamins. Anyone saying fruit is bad for you is just sabotaging your diet.
the sugar in fruits is not the same as in junk foods. eat all the fruits you want. fruits are rich in fiber and vitamins.
Anything in excess is bad for you. Fruits are not bad and you can have 2-3 servings a day! You could probably have more if you cut out things like milk (which also has a lot of sugar), etc. They are good for you and provide more benefit than not.
