Will doubling my protein intake help me gain weight?

Question:
If someone were trying to GAIN weight, but didnt want to eat a bunch of junk food, then will doubling my protein intake help to gain weight?

Answers:
Proteins are required for building muscles, so having high protein foods like eggs, milk, peanut butter, protein shakes will help you in gaining weight. Starchy foods contain a lot of carbohydrates. You can find more information at http://www.toloseweight.org/gainweight.h...
I've heard 25g of protein every 4 hours is about optimal for average male who wants muscle
nope. overdosage will cause you to crap a large percentage of it out.
don't do over 40g of protein perserving, unless your already HUGE.
probably shouldnt, overdoing just about anything is bad for results, can even give you negative results at times
what brand of protein are you taking, and form of exercise are you doing.you must do cardio and then lift. taking protein or whey products and not fully doing at least hour to hour and a half will have an impact on you to gain weight and no muscle'unless that is what you are looking for.butyou should use a portion and a half.is wha i do. good luck.
there was a recent study done that shows that milk is better than any protein shake or any other form of "bulking up on protein"

here is the first article i got when i searched for the study...
