Nutrisystem...Has anyone on here tried it?

Question:
I was thinking about ordering this because of the convenience of not having to keep it cool. But I am wandering how it tastes & does it really help you lose weight if you don't cheat. If you have ever tried it or know someone who did let me know about your experience with it. Thanks

Answers:
i ordered it a few months ago so ill try to help you with my experience, as well as my husband's.

if you eat out a lot or spend more than $10 in a day on food, its pretty affordable, but if you are on a strict budget, then its kinda not worth it.

the taste was beyond what i thought it would be. i wasnt expecting much, but they really do a good job of making sure it is tasty as well as weight-sensitive.
the foods i didnt like were the desert cakes, but then i found (on the website in the forums) recipes on how to make them delicious. they were still a bit out of my typical "desert" tastes, but they were a lot better than how the package said to prepare it.
the tuna noodle casserole was NOT a fav. of mine at all. most people hate it, some love it. there is no middle ground.
i didnt like the black bean tortilla soup, but my hubby loved it.
and the chicken patties for burgers left something to be desired.

but other than that i LOVED everything.

it is easy to follow, they send you a book that details everything youre supposed to do in the program, and it really is easy.

be prepared to go buy veggies, fruits, and dairy products. because they do not provide them for you. you do 2 fruits and 3 veggies a day, i believe, along with 3 dairy servings. it depends on how much you weigh or if youre a woman or man. men get extra carb servings with each meal.

i lost weight on it, and it felt great.
my husband did too... we loved the program, even though guys at work gave him a hard time over it.

we would both be on it still if we could afford it. but since our whole family eats for about $10 per day, we couldnt exactly afford $20 per day, plus fruits, veggies, and dairy, PLUS our son's food. so we are off it for now. as soon as he gets his promotion i think we are going to go back on it.

a good idea would be to look on the nutrisystem site for people selling theirs after not liking it or something like that. or on craigslist. we found a month and a halfs worth of food for $200, instead of $400.

use a 2 week free promotion code and do the auto-ship to save money. after you do that, look for a buddy bucks coupon. i think it saves $30? maybe its $20. either way it gives you and the person who gave it to you a discount (you can ask for one on the ns forum site)

but use the promo code first, then the buddy bucks coupon... you cant do it the other way around. you will save the most if you follow that order.

and you can always cancel, then sign back up, cancel and sign up again, always using a buddy bucks coupon. (or send a buddy bucks coupon to yourself from your first account, to a second, and you can save the money for yourself)

i didnt do that because i felt it was dishonest, but ive read of others doing it successfully.

um, oh! the blueberry muffins and a few other products have sugar alcohols...
what that means is GAS. bad gas. there are topics about "nutritoots" because you do get gassy with some foods. i stay at home with my son, so its not a big deal... but some people actually have to work with gas, and its not cool for them, you know?
not many foods have them, you can also research that on the site... most of the foods are toot-free. :D

if you use it, good luck. i think i still have an account, i could send you a buddy bucks coupon for your first time, if you would like. like i said, im not really doing the program until we can afford it again, though.

good luck!
No, because it is a rip-off.
I had a friend that tried it once. The portion sizes are quite small. but most of the food did look good. Although I think for the money you would be better off just shopping for better choices at the grocery store and joining the gym. here is a little more information at the link below
well i have a friend who's mom is on nutrisystem and she's lost a lot of weight while this other person i know depends on nutrisystem to lose weight and is really fat and did not have any effect. Maybe you should go ahead and try it if it doesn't work, don't waste your time. You should maybe eat healthy and exercise. its the best way to lose weight. The commercials for nutrisystem come on tv and i just think that how could someone be such an overweight person and turn into like a model's body. My friends think that they computrize everything. if you really want to try it then try it but i think you should just eat healthy and exercise. GOOD LUCK LOSING WEIGHT!!
