Question:
I started WW today will I be able to lose 50lbs by February 20, 2008. I am 14. Weigh 238lbs and am 5'7". Please share your results.

Answers:
I assume you mean you WANT to lose 50 lbs by Feb 20. I don't want to discourage you, but I don't want you to be disappointed come Feb if you haven't lost the 50 lbs either. Weight loss doesn't work that way - but everyone sure wishes it did.

It is within the realm of possibility that you could be there by Feb 20, that means you will have to average 2 lbs per week. That is a good safe weight loss, and not everyone will lose that much weight in that amount of time. The good news is some lose more than that.

Just remember the weight didn't go on over a short period of time and it won't disappear that way either. The good news too, is that you will be successful even if you don't hit the magic 50 because if you stick with the program you will lose weight and you will be healthier for it. You will also be learning along the way how to keep it off.

Now about me. I am a 6 year lifetime member and leader. I lost 40 lbs over a 6 month period and have been able to keep it off. It was the best and easiest thing I ever did because I didn't have to give up anything I REALLY wanted. I may have had to eat less of it, not have it as often, or find a healthier way to fix it, but I still haveanything I really, really want.

The biggest key to my success was the weekly weigh-ins and journalling everything I eat. Journalling can be time consuming and sometimes boring, but it lets me know exactly what I'm eating and not guessing if I followed the program that day or not.

You'll be successful - not just in Feb but for life. Just be patient. You want the weight to not only come off but stay off.
plz tell me if it works...GOOD LUCK!
