How much weight can i lose in two weeks by eating 600 calories a day?
Question:
I realize this isn't the most intelligent of questions, but here we go:
am 5”7 and weight about 55 kg… If i eat approximately 600 calories a day for the next two weeks and exercise around half an hour everyday.. how much weight do you think i can lose by August 18th?
heh. that sounded like a math problem.
any answers are truly appreciated.
=D
Answers:
55x 2.2= 121 lbs add zero for total caloric need (average)
1210-600=610 deficit
610x14(days)=8540
3500 calories in one pound
2.4 pounds + whatever exercise you care to do
for example a 45 min walk each day will net 500 more calories of loss at a brisk pace, 2.75 pounds more loss.
More if you exercise you may also look better because of the muscle tone and circulation properties.
Good Luck
You may lose weight but it won't be healthy weight loss. You have to eat a minumum of 1200 calories a day for you body to properly burn fat.

That would be counterproductive because your body will store more fat. It will go into starvation mode and you will have a harder time actually keeping the weight off in the long run. Try eating at least twice that amount of calories and you will have better results. That combined with the exercise will work much better and you will have less of a chance of fainting from not having enough blood sugar. It takes 3500 more calories burned than consumed to lose one lb of fat. I don't know what that would be exactly translated into kilograms but if you cut out 250 calories from your diet each day and burn 250 additional calories exercising you will lose 1 lb of "fat" in a week. Losing fat is the main goal.
No one can really answers an exact number. Personally I don't think the 600 calories is a good idea. Your body goes into starvation mode and you may instead gain or stay the same weight, because your brain is telling your body to store all the food that it gets. 121Lbs or 55kg for your height is just right anyhow, it's near the low end of your BMI, and you shouldn't try to be losing weight anyhow. If you truly think you need to lose weight than I suggest you seek medical attention, from a therapist!
well I made this formula for you.
C = total calories you would normally take in daily like 2000 perhaps
E = total calories burned a day from exercise
T = how many days
(((C - 600) + E) x T) / 3500 = how many pounds you will lose
If you would normally take in 2000 calories a day and you will exercise off 500 calories, then it will look like this
(((2000 - 600) + 500) x 14) / 3500 =
2.4 pounds
You shouldn't eat less than around 2000 calories a day, it's not healthy for your body. I don't recommend this at all, if you are trying to lose weight then exercise is your best bet.
Your body will believe it is being starved and will store everything you do eat as fat instead of burning it off so you will probably end up gaining weight.
Hi : )
The problem with a diet like that is that it won't get you to your desired weight. Your body has need for fuel to cover for its basic functions and the food we eat provides that fuel. If you're 55 kgs, that's 122 pounds, and that means that your body requires 1200 calories in the LEAST every day to just function at survival mode. If you go below that amount, your body reduces metabolism and stores whatever you eat because in that case it switches to survival mode thinking it won't be getting enough food.
So the best thing you could is eat over 1200 (because you're not just waking up in the morning and just sitting till you go to sleep) you're walking about, studying, working, or doing whatever it is that you're doing, you're expending energy and so you need calories for your body to work well.
At 5'7, 55 is an ideal weight, if you want to lose weight, know that one pound (almost half a kilo) is 3500 so if you eat 250 calories less than you eat every day and lose 250 with your exercise then you lose one pound every week, which is losing half a kilo on a weekly basis.
Think long-term. Short-term weight loss lasts shorter and you end up gaining your weight back because the body isn't functioning right. Lose less weight over a longer period of time and you'll be able to maintain.
All the best!
You could lose anywhere from 5 pounds to 25 pounds. But if you really want to lose weight exercise for and hour a day. Also take cold showers and i mean cold. When you do this it helps to speed up you metabolism. Drink a lot of lemon-water since it is calories free and you can burn fat at the same time of suppressing you appetite. Well, if you need any more info email me at bluehippy15@yahoo.com. Hope i helped.
you probably won't lose much weight because your body is going to cling to what weight it has because it thinks it is starving. Eat at least 1000 calories a day. I eat my main meal at lunch and eat nothing after 6PM that is how I lost weight fast! drink water water water! that will help you fast but you will starve your body and it will cling to your weight for longer if you cut your calories too low, eat fruit in the morning and eat a lighter lunch but eat protein for lunch too. that helps to lose weight. good luck
You would burn around 300 calories in that half hour. If you were sedentary you would burn 1280 per day. That is lying in bed doing nothing. You would burn 4200 surplus calories or 1.5 lbs per week or 3 lbs in 2 weeks. Enough with the math.
If you are serious, you have a problem and need counseling. I know someone who works with eating disorders and she concurs with this. Eat right and get good exercise and be healthy.
