Which causes more weight gain: diet soda or regular soda and why?

Directly regular soda because it is full of sugar and corn syrup. However, diet soda tends to make you more hungry so that you eat more AND many people think because they are getting a diet soda they can eat whatever else they want. Ever see somebody order a Big Mac, Super Size fries, apple pie, and a diet Coke? Many people actually gain more weight because of diet soda. Neither is good for you and should be kept to a minimum.
regular soda is loaded with High Fructose Corn Syrup. Very fatting stuff.

As you see diet sodas can make you think you can eat anything you want, but that's hardly the sodas fault, that's our fault as consumers.
i remember seeing a study that said diet soda drinkers are statistically more likely to gain weight b/c they think that by drinking diet drinks they can eat whatever they want. drink water.
Regular soda because it has sugar and calories.
