If you exersise you can loose weight, but I am afraid that eating melons isn't a good idea since you can get Vitamin Diffeciancies. You need to eat a wide variety of foods.
god you would lose loads of weight but how boring would that be!
also melons have SO much water in them, so you'd be running to the toilet all the time. and once you start eating normally again your body will automatically put on weight quicker because its not used to normal food.
your also not getting all the nutrition you need, i would advise you to just eat a range of healthy foods and do lots of exercise, the weight may come off slower but its safe, healthy and long term. if you need help in choosing safe foods to stick to ask a dietitian, doctor or diet group etc. it will be easier and you wont even notice your dieting!

Would you lose weight, a.k.a. mass? Probably. However, instead of losing body fat, you'd begin to break down muscle mass.
Your body's metabolism is sensitve. If you went through with this plan, you would, because of reduced caloric intake, begin to lose weight. Your body would be in need of calories so it would call upon stored fat to offset what it is not receiving from ingestion. At a certain point, two things are going to happen. 1) Your body's need for protein will cause the break down of lean muscle mass. In essence, your body will begin to sacrifice itself to meet its nutritional needs. 2) This caloric restriction will then result in your body actually lowering it's metabolic rate. When people diet and cut calories, the body at first calls upon stored fats to make up the difference. The person usually experiences a 5-10 pound loss of weight. Then, the body says to itself..."hang on here...we're not getting the amoung of calories we're used to" and it begins to shift the way it stores calories. It doesn't allow as many calories to be utilized and tries to store as much as it can because it thinks it's in starvation mode. So, the person no longer experieces weight loss. Then the person will typically reduce the amoung eaten again...upsetting the balance. They lose a few more pounds and again the body reacts, and tries to once again save what it can. Then after doing this a few weeks/months, the person has either achieved his/her weight loss goals or has given up. Either way, what usually happens is that the person then returns to eating the same number or more calories then when they started this diet. But now 1) the body is in storage/starvation mode and 2) has reduced the amount of lean muscle mass. So, the person gains the weight back at an accelerated rate.
So in short, yes you will lose weight TEMPORARILY and then gain all if not twice as much back. In my professional opinion this is not a bad way to lose weight, it is a HORRIBLE IDEA.
Try this.reduce daily caloric intake by 250 calories (ie bag of chips and a soda). Walk for 40 minutes to an hour, 4-5 days a week. Purchase some hand weights or light dumbbells and do simple strengthening exercises.
In addition...take the stairs, avoid elevators and escalators; park the farthest from the doors at work or at a mall, walk to the neighborhood store, use a push mower not a self propelled or riding,etc etc. Try to restore more of the manual tasks to your day.
