Can someone give me a good grocery list for someone who is trying to lose weight and keep it off?
Question:
Answers:
Whole grains, lean proteins, lowfat or nonfat dairy products. Fruits and veggies. If you can't find good fresh fruits and vegetables, frozen is just as nutritious.
Fish. If you can't afford fresh, canned tuna is a good alternative. Get the water-packed instead of oil-packed.
Avoid processed foods.
Also, if you are doing a hard workout like a long run, a glass of lowfat chocolate milk has the same carb-protein ratio as some of those expensive recovery drinks.
Also, for an occasional indulgence, dark chocolate is a good choice. Just be sure not to over-do it. A small piece daily can make a difference without adding a lot of extra calories.
all fruits and veggies u see :]
please answer, i also wanna know!
Fish. Veggies. Rice instead of pasta. Red wine. (In MODERATION.) And if you must fry stuff, fry it in olive oil or safflower oil. These oils are more expensive, but they do not put on the pounds like vegetable oils. And stuff cooked in olive oil is delicious, better-tasting than vegetable oils.
Stuff NOT to be on the shopping list:
Potatoes, pasta, cheese, ice cream, sodas and beer.
buy a treadmill as it is going to help u in ur workouts and jogging or running on a treadmill is possibly the best exercise for reducing weight and toning up the muscles.
Avoid spicy, oily, deeply fried foods and junk foods, avoid tea and alcohol. though u may take green tea which is good for health. if at all u r fond of tea and coffee then try developing a taste without sugar and milk.
you can take up once in a while all the above mentioned things but in moderation :)
and yes eat lot of veggies, fruits and drink lots of water and juices.
Hope the info helps!
Good luck!
