Would whey protein help my muscle soreness?

Question:
I'm in marching band and I play sousaphone. I do a lot of push ups because I'm mess up the march alot at practice. I need to get more muscular and I'm sure the push ups will help but I get really really sore to the point where my body becomes dead weight. Would the protein help me get over the soreness faster and enhance the results?

Answers:
playing sousa i know that my shoulder gets soar and doing a lot of pushups is a drag but whey is not the answer sure it has protein but creatine is the way for mucle recovery and strength
it would help u gain muscle and maybe muscle recovery.

whey protein is not used to help soreness in the muscles. time and rest are the best healers.

if u are into building muscle, then it is best u rest for a few days after a workout especially if u are bench pressing. pushups are mainly for toning the body. u have to bench press to increase muscle mass.
creatine is supposed to help aid in muscle recovery.
