The following link will take you to where you can purchase a "powerball" which specifically strengthens the fingers, hands, wrists, forearms, arms and shoulders. It is great for sports and music, physcial development and rehabilitation, and has been endorsed by major organizations, such as the PGA. If you want to see one / try one before you buy, go to the Sharper Image store. They are an amazing product and design, and will do exactly what you are seeking. Here is the link: www.powerballs.com

do hand pushups!!
Stretch your hands and fingers and do lots of hammer downs.
You could always just buy a grip contraption where you hold on to it and keep pushing down on the buttons with your fingers like you would a guitar. Or you should just keep doing a bunch of hammer-ons and pull-offs up and down the neck of your guitar without actually strumming. If you're having trouble getting a good sound out of your guitar hammer-ons, I think your action must be kind of high, so it'll be a good workout for your fingers. I would start out on the lower frets, then work your way up to the first and second fret on the low E. I had the most trouble with those.
For flexibility, you can try anchoring a finger at one fret and hammering-on on farther frets with your other three fingers.
Lay out a piece of *paper on a flat surface. Lay your hand flat on the paper, and crumple up the paper as small as you can using only your one hand. & repeat.
Baseball players use this to strengthen their hands.
*You can also use newspaper or construction paper depending on how hard you want it to be.
