I'm going to start walking in the mornings... 7 km ...?

Question:
Do you think that is a good idea?
I need to walk, as its the only way for me to get to work from where I live. The next town over is approx. 7 km... I've walked it before, and it took me approx. 2 hours.

What do you think?

Answers:
Well, it's going to be a big time consumer but it should help. If you're not in good shape though, drive until you're only about 1 km away on the first day, walk to your work from there, and back to your car at the end of the day. Go like that for a few days then gradually make the distance further and further until you think it won't exhaust you to walk the whole distance.
I think that sounds good to me. You must leave ur house really early. I run in the morning and at dusk, for three hours
Four hours a day seems like a lot of commuting time but if you don't mind you'll probably end up healthier than the rest of us who drive to work.

Why not think about arranging for car pooling for some of the days, esp. the bad weather days? And bicycle riding is also good exercise.
