What motivates you to workout?

every month i tell myself i'm going to start working out but then the month comes and goes and i do nothing! what can motivate me to want to run and exercise?

I have the same problem too. What the thing that has helped me are:
-working out in the morning, becs if you start your day out well, your less likely to turn to junk food and icky food that is not good for you.
-this might sound weird, but i made a colleague of models and i put them in a place where i can see it, becs i am not going to look good by sitting on my *** eating bon bons
-change your workout routine frequently.
-i can never workout without music.

Pretend you are running from something that scares you. You may look silly, but it may work.
try working out while listening to techno music. there are so many beats to it you can help but want to move. and it keeps you moving.
My sister says,"work out early in the morning, before your body knows what it is doing."

do you have a bf? if not, go to the gym and scope out guys working out. thats how my gf approached me haha.
Think each day as your last day in this world, so if skip your workout today, then you are never going to do it again, this will make you do things that you postpone.

The point here is you need to really believe this is your last day in this world for this method to work. It works for me.

This is all about self determination. Getting off the couch is always the hardest thing to do when you are planning to go gym. Keep reminding yourself of your health condition. (that's what I do). People always tell me that is good to go gym with a buddy, at least it won't be so boring but I never had that problem. Just tell yourself that it is part of your life and you have no choice but to do it.
look at fat people.
This may sound mean but whenever I go to the gym and see an overweight person in front of me I tell myself that I'm not going to look like that person so it motivates me to run that extra mile or two. or another thing that helps, I try to run near the fastest person and try to outrun him or her.
self motivation is the key to my success.
watching other people work out while you are sitting down, it will make you feel lazy and want to work out. at least it works for me ^^;
I tell myself that I want to become famous everyday. Every time I see actors and actresses on TV, they are always skinny or fit. I'm kinda big. I weigh 180 pounds. To have "THE LOOK", I have to weigh 125 pounds or less to be on TV. Do you get what I'm saying?
okay just think, you keep saying you want to work out and then the month passes .. you think to yourself that the month passed by so fast and your like wow why didnt I just do it .. Im on a diet .. thats what I think of .. and think of how good youll look before school starts up again.
Go to a park with a good friend of yours to do brisk-walking for a start. Make friends with those around the track. In the end you will have a lot of friends. Try to go often. You will be amused that you will not like to miss going to the jogging track, of course provided you have made a lot of friends. It will be an opposite effect if you are lonely there, definately it will be a torture.
