Is it true that after 40 it's harder to lose weight:?

Question:
I've always been thin my whole life even after having 2 babies in my late thirties. But after having my third baby at 42 I am having the hardest time losing 15 lb. I am eating healthy and going to the gym but I seem to be stuck. Someone told me you have to work even harder after 40 cuz your metabolism slows down even if you were thin all your life. Is this true and if it is what is the best way for me to lose these pounds.

Answers:
Yes the older you get the harder it is to lose wait because of your motobalism, however it is still achievable just takes a bit more effort, walk more, buy a skipping rope, try a sport that u enjoy, make exersise fun again, .i'm sure u will be able to shift the weight just give it time...it sounds that you have hit a plateau and you just need that extra push to lose them last lbs.good luck.
Nonsense. On average, people tend to be less active after 40, hence the weight problems.

I've never seen any hard data that showed fewer calories required for the same level of activity.
I've been struggling for years trying to lose some weight, and yes after 40 it is very difficult. Right now I'm using the Apple Patch herbal patches for appetite suppression so I don't snack and eat less at each meal. It is working for me. Maybe it will work for you too.
