Well as a parent you have powers. Use them.
Some kids have a naturally high metabolism. The most I weighed throughout highschool was maybe 80LBs. do to the fact that my metabolism was so high. If you are really concerned about your son and think that his not eating is a contributing factor to why he is so thin then you should ask his pediatrician.
First, check with your doctor to make sure he's not malnourished.
Second, for picky kids, you just have to try a bunch of different healthy things, and see what he likes.
If he's refusing to eat anything, he may have an eating disorder - it can occur in children even when they are younger than he is.

some medication would help consulting the doctor, but, for kids its always good for the parents to roam aroung without loosing the patience and make them eat. see if he can eat less goodfood in more intervels. children are like that , even my daughter is like that.
You are being very general. He likes nothing? Or he is just a picky eater? If you are truly concerned and his pediatrician has ruled out health problems, then I would make sure I have the things he will eat stocked and let him eat when he gets hungry instead of making him stick to a certain schedule.
Get a complete physical for him to make sure nothing is wrong. Try giving him a variety of foods. Don't force one over the other. Mac and cheese. Carrot and celery sticks. Fish or chicken fingers. Bananas. PB&J.
Ask him what he has enjoyed in the past and then get more of that kind of food.
Make sure that meal time is not stressful. Turn off distractions like the TV. Rather than a big dinner try giving him an afterschool snack, dinner and a pre bedtime snack.

I don't actually believe he doesn't eat anything at all. Is he still alive? Maybe what you mean is that he doesn't eat as much as you like him to. Maybe you cooking isn't that good. As a parents you need to discover what your son loves to eat and cook it for him. Usually nowadays our children are getting fatter and fatter and we are hopeless trying to slim them. I think its your cooking!

a friend of mine had that problem and i didn't even know about it but only found out from her mum. what happened was that i went over her place for dinner and my friend saw me eat and eat, her mum a few weeks later told me that her daughter now starts to eat a lot more because she saw me eat and didn't care about weight problems (note that i'm not fat). so, what you could do to influence your son to eat is to maybe invite a friend of his that eats, and maybe your son will too reliase hey theres nothing wrong with eating if my friend can eat then so can i. good luck.
most kidz dont like to eat stuff, except for the fat ones, they would rather run around or play games. Which is why u gotta make sure he eats right. Dont give any supplemental vitamin drinks either, regular food only. Take away what he likes to do until he finishes his meal, he get used to it and eat regularly after that.
I am like that too..I am 20 I weigh just over 115 Pounds. That's just the heritage also you know. You could add some other source of food like Milk Shake(branded product), there are some proteins and vitamins bars available in medical stores..use those. Some time you also need to force them to eat you know, because they are really in to PLAYING at this age so they usually forget or get lazy to eat...
Overall, our Indian kids are way to lazy in eating than American kids...There are many womans who like thin guy also na? So your son will have no problem. Being thin is good too...Its just a type of body, its not bad that you want to act on it..u know...Don't you watch biggest looser... If you son want to get big and musculer, he might after 15-16 who knows..because there are many hormones change in 15-16.

It is very hot these days and he may not be very hungry! Children don't usually go hungry! They might much more often than you know... Don't worry so much and read up on healthy, fresh foods... On diversity and introduce him to raw vegetables... Just because everyone else is over-weight, it doesn't mean that your son is too skinny! It's quite normal at that age. Soon, you'll wonder if he didn't turn into a bottomless pit like most his age! It will come! In the meantime, stay away from any food with fructose... and make sure he gets at least 7 glasses of fresh water a day! Go to the baker's and let him choose a bread of his choice! It's not good to force him... Try life cereal; the "life" brand has no fructose in it... all others for kids do and that is "poison". Better to eat as he does than stuff a child with junk food! any day! There must be some fruits he likes! Go natural... Home cooked meals have a way to make children hungry, such as a good home-made soup... simming for hours! The aroma alone might get his taste buds going... Just have good, healthy things ready and available for when he's ready! and hungry! No junk food! or he'll never be hungry for the real food. I'd much rather teach a child like him to eat well than one who is stuffing himself on junk food for years!

this problem is not urs only. Many parents have it but they give their kids small eats at frequent intervals and plenty of fruit juice. More than anything ur son needs ur luv and affection

y don't u give him some thin which is delicious and attractive and nutritious like cornflakes in the morning and some shakes also (banana, mango, apple...) and go for sandwich which he likes the most whatever u give him dress it with some sauce or cream and i am sure he will like it. don't worry these r common at this age...bye
