How many pounds can i lose in 1 week if i cut the carbs??


Question:
i`m on a diet and i`m basically cutting the carbs so i`m not eating bread, pasta, potatoes, corn, fried food, desserts or pizza.
by doing this how many pounds will i lose in a week?

Cutting carbs isnt the big hype everyone has made it out to be, carbs is fuel for the body and you burn them doing everything you do, you should cut your fat intake and you will see a big difference in weight loss, you mention fried foods, that is nothing but fat, same as desert and pizza.. good luck on the diet.

One week carb restrictive diet will only get you about 5-8 lbs weight loss if done properly.

Check the web for diet plans from South Beach and the Zone diets. You MUST have SOME carbs or you will die. The nuber I believe is about 50-60 grams of carbs to survive.

More IMPORTANTLY IS: to stick with it. Carbs are GOOD FOR YOU, but only in proportion to your physical activity.

There are many variations of this in many levels of pro sports, but here is the one I know:

When you wake up drink 2-3 cups of coffee or the equivalent in caffeine tablets (java rush in drug stores), DO NOT EAT!! then get on a real bicycle or a stationary one and ride at a steady pace for 20-90 minutes TOPS. You should be able to talk without panting while constantly pedaling; the goal is to keep your heart rate between 60-70% of its maximum beats per minute (measure your max by working out on a bike at maximum effort and monitor your heartbeat to guage its maximum using a heart rate monitor), if you dont have access to a monitor, just keep in mind that you aren't out to have a hard workout while bonk training, just keeping at a steady pace, and watch that you aren't over doing it, overdoing it is NOT THE GOAL.

What happens is: the caffeine and the empty stomach coupled with moderate aerobic exercise creates a condition where your METABOLISM BURNS FAT RATHER THAN LOOK FOR FUEL IN YOUR BLOOD STREAM.

What this does is: YOU LOSE UP TO 10 POUNDS A WEEK. I did it all summer, and Ive lost over 20 lbs since starting this in June, the average has been .9 lbs a day!!
