Weight loss during sleep?

Question:
If I stop eating a good 4-5 hours before going to sleep, and I if haven't indulged the whole day I usually wake up 1-2lbs lighter. I weigh myself before going to sleep and weigh immediately after an 8-9hrs of sleep even before I go to the bathroom. How is this possible? Surely tossing and turning doesn't burn all this? Where / how are these lbs going? Cheers.

Answers:
I think as you sleep, your body eat away at the fat that you have eaten. This is why many people say that eating late at night and then immediately going to sleep is bad for you because that fat stays with you
You are perspiring about 2 pounds worth of liquid while you sleep...
Mysterious and a miraculous finding?? Let me try sleeping seriously. I thought diet and exercise is the only way. Anyway thanks for a new info.
it's because your body doesn't have food in it at night
It's probably lost through sweat and respiration - you lose moisture in every breath.

However, I wouldn't rule out slightly erratic readings on your bathroom scale. If you're a 180 lb. person, even a 1% difference will look like a 2 lb. loss.
I've lost 30 ponds in three weeks and my friend lost 20 pounds in two weeks. It's a new and effective way to lose weight:
