How to keep from gaining weight while eating healthier.?
Question:
suppose I've messed myself up with eating too little, some purging, etc etc..
How would you reccomend transitioning to a healthy diet (eating something besides just fruit and juice, as I have for 3 weeks) without gaining? I really wanna lose another 20, but realize I have to stop the madness. But seriously, my metabolism is so whacked right now (my fault) that if I eat ONE moderate, healthy, normal-small meal my weight goes up by 2 lbs (at my next-morning weigh-in) and depresses me into more "fruit fasting" or binging/purging.
How do I transition to eating more without gaining weight.
I also exercise allready, BTW
Answers:
baby steps but you can do it.
If all your eating right now is fruit and juices you are actually consuming a high level of sugar.
If you start off by eating vegetables, and very lean meats, strips of grilled chicken on your salad, things like that you should be fine. Providing you slow up on the fruit and juices.
Kind of like a trade off.
Now remember you are losing weight your way, but you have probably lost a great deal of muscle mass to. By eating proteins and veggies you will start to get that muscle mass back. Muscle weighs more than fat, but takes up less space. So in the beginning you might put a pound or two back on, but you will actually be getting smaller. Eventually the muscle mass that you are building will consume more of the calories that you are taking in and you will lose weight quicker.
Just know that you cannot continue the way you are going, you really need to make the change now, before its too late.
Just watch your carbohydrates intake & you will lose!
