You cannot target fat loss. Anyone who tells you that you can is misinfromed. I used to struggle with back & stomach flab as well. Here is a good website that covers this topic:

Once you have gotten the diet & workout part down & you have lost the fat, there are exercises that will help you 'tighten' the area. But until you lose the fat, you can do the exercises all day long, & you won't see results.
Good Luck!!
Just keep at it and slowly it should start to go away (its just excess fat storage). Thats the only thing that I have found
do some shadow boxing( which is throwing some jabs in the air) for 30 to an hour a day. also do some trunk twists and do it with some light weights. good luck and watch what your eating too.
Walk, run, or swim. Also try yoga or other exercises that will tone the muscle as opposed to making it larger.
do crunches were you touch your right elbow to your left knee etc i think there called twist crunches those usually work your sides/back love handle areas
unfortunaly, has everyone knows that reads about 500 diet magazines, emails and cute random stories, "there aren't any exercises that will only work on one group" which means you have to do a varity of exercises, which sucks, can't do any certain ones... my suggestion, try yoga. it's relaxing and will help you stretch and strengthen each part of your body
There is no such thing as spot reduction of fat. Your body uses the energy converted from fat as fuel when you exercise. Over time, if you burn more calories than you take in, your body fat stores will decrease and the fat rolls will get smaller. You should at least do moderate cardio and aerobic activity for at least 45 minutes every other day to help burn off the excess fat. Certain areas of the body lose fat quicker than others. Internal fat which lines the intestinal tract and cushions the bowels is used up at a different rate than subdural fat (under the skin).
