Does the weight watchers points diet really work?
Question:
I'm looking to lose a stone/go down a dress size, and was wondering whether anyone would reccomend the Weight watchers points diet? Do you have to eat the ready meals and cook the recipes? is it easy? I have quite a busy life and am worried it won't be convenient.
Any tips much appreciated!

The program will work if you work the program. It's the easiest thing I ever did. No you don't have to eat any of their foods or cook any of their recipes, although you'll probably want to because they are good.
You can cook any of your regular recipes, you just need to calculate the points for them Once you do, you'll probably decide to eat less of them, or modifiy them so they have lower points.
It's as convenient or as difficult as you make it. In the beginning as you get used to calculating points for everything it may seem overwhelming. Because we are creatures of habit and eat the same things over and over, you'll start remembering the points for the things you eat most often and won't need to spend so much time calculating.
When they say nothing is off limits, that's what they mean, but you may decide to put a few things off limits for yourself because they will be so high in points.
I'm a 6 year lifetimer and it was the best and easiest thing I ever did.
Any diet can work as long as you don't look at is as a diet. The key to losing weight is to change your eating habits and exercise. As little at 30 minutes of exercise a day is all that is needed to put you on the path.
I personally did the weight watchers thing and liked it, but I didn't have time to go to a lot of meetings and to me that is the real benefit of it. Talking with people who are trying to lose weight to is always a good motivator to keep you on track and keep you from falling off the "good for you food" wagon completely.
In addition I know that cutting all soda diet or regular out of the diet is essential because they are just feeding that need for sweet.
Good Luck
Yes it does work
ive been following it recently - 23 points a day
start weight was : 13 stone 1lb
i now weigh 12 stone 6lb
its really good, and you dont have to cut anything out, its all about moderation!
i still eat chips, sausage egg and beans lol i just point it
you dont have to eat the ready meals. and you can follow it on a busy life! like i said you can eat what you like, as long as you point it :)
Hi.
Try! this might help u!.
http://www.healthopts.com . all the best.
hi, yes it works, i would recommend it to anyone, I have been on it for 4 weeks and have lost 10lbs now. You can eat anything as long as you work out and count the points, which you do by looking at calories per portion and saturated fat content, so you can eat sandwiches, crisps, biscuis, you can even have alcohol! good luck
yes you can loose weight
Yes, weight watchers does work as long as you do it. It is very, very convenient to use as you can chose to use their frozen meals on the go, they do have recipes when you have time and they have a point book for on the go eating out, most fast food restaurants listed. You can save some points for a splurge at the end of the week or have use some daily or not use them and loose more weight. I think, overall it is a pretty flexible plan and you have control over the choices you make. You can eat anything you want but it comes down to portion control. I found it to be very convenient as I could still eat the foods I love, just had to watch how much.
i can confirm it does. i was 12 stone 8 when i started it and i'm down to 10st 6. if you stick to it and increase your exercise activity you cant fail. i only wanted to get down to 11 stone 7 as i was looking a wee bit chubby. once you are down to your target weight you can have more points to weight maintain.
my wife and i both work full time so we nornally just have the tescos's healthy option meals when we get in at night. they are quite good and tell you the points value on the box.
good luck!
Yes, the point diet does work. My friend has been on this diet for over a year, and shes gone from a size 22, to 14!
I would go for this type of diet if your looking for fast results, but you have to STICK WITH IT, and dont give up! :o)
Good luck! :)
Its fab hun - honest. I orignally lost over 5 stone with WW points system and adorded it! I even managed to get below my goal weight!
Unfortunatley I was 25 pounds overweight again on monday last week, and started the WW points system again. This morning I weighed in and had lost 6lbs in one week!
Yes - I did eat! 3meals everyday and chose to snack of fruit. I even had a McDonalds happy meal yesterday! I am having around 20 points a day (its calculated through your weight and height) and have increased my exercise quite dramatically too! Well worth it!
I would reccomend WW to anyone and everyone!
You dont have a particular plan to stick too, you have a certain amount of points you can consume per day, and you stay within those points. They sell calculators so you can find the points value of any foods - no problem!
Trust me it will be convenient - even more so when you see those unwanted pounds just dissapear!
Yes,Weight Watchers works.
