Exercise and diet..no wait lost?

Question:
I've been exercise and diet for 3 weeks now and I don't see any waith lost I stay at the same waith or I gain phound or two a week. Why is that?

Answers:
If you eat just three meals per day, there may be a stretch of time where you don't eat for 6+ hours. That could make your body think your starving it and start to store excess fats. A way to combat this is to spliting your food intake into five or even six meals, rather than three.

If you don't get enough calories, that could also make your body think you're starving it. Make sure you get 1200 calories minimum, and since you exercise, maybe even 1300 or 1400.

People have a harder time losing weight by starving themselves because they might binge in a later meal or eat unhealthy things. This may not be your case, but the starvation mode could. The body storing excess body fat could make you gain a pound or two. So split your meals up and see if that works. Otherwise, see a doc.

Hope that helps.
Hi.

Try! this might help u!.
http://www.healthopts.com . all the best.
In addition to the information above, you may also want to eat smaller portions and smaller meals more often. I eat between 5 to 6 small meals a day and I eat them every 2 to 3 hours.

This will keep your metabolism at a higher rate.

Hi! It's a little difficult to give a good answer without knowing a bit more about you, but here goes.

First, you say you've been dieting and exercising. That's all well and good, but what kind of diet and exercise (and how much exercise)? Let me give an example of a friend of mine.

She's been gaining weight steadily and can't seem to lose it. She's tried walking, cutting calories, even going on the NutriSystems diet. At best, she's maintained her weight, but has not lost any (even on NutriSystems).

But what kind of walking does she do? Her normal walk speed, which is kind of fast (to me, anyway), but is normal for her. She doesn't break a sweat.

She tries dieting, even counting calories and trying various diets. None seem to work for her. She's worried that every time she tries a low calorie diet, her metabolism slows down a little more, making it harder and harder to lose weight next time.

She's right -- the low calorie diets can decreae your metabolism if you go on them for a long time -- unless you do something else to raise your metabolism back up.

And the best things are for it are exercise -- both aerobic (to burn calories) and strength (to build muscle).

Aerobic -- you need to bring the heart rate up, and one of the best ways to tell is if you are sweating (always assuming you aren't doing it in a hot climate where you would sweat in the shade). Keep that going for at least 15 minutes and 20 minutes if you can. This is the exercise that burns calories.

Also, don't drink anything but water or eat any foods for an hour afterwards. Your body is burning fat for energy, and if you down a sports drink, juice or soda your body sees the calories coming in and will try to use them for fuel. Drink plenty of water, though.

Strength training -- light weights, exercise bands and so on -- help build that muscle that raises your metabolism 24/7.

So that's the best answer I can give you for the moment, without knowing more about you.

Best of luck to you!
Just eat only complex carbs, lean meat, and lots of veggies. It will make your meals low caloried and yet filling and healthy.

Do brisk walking. They are great for burning body and tummy fats.

I am on low carb, low fat, high fibre, high protein and a hour brisk walk 5 times a week, and I have lost 31lbs and gain better health. I am now maintaining my 108lbs for more than a year.

Details such as my experience, types of foods and veggies to eat, healthy low fat snacks, meals, recipes, walking as an exercise and to shape the body etc etc, are in my blog.
