Is it bad to take a shower after you play sports?

If I'm really tired i shouldn't take my shower.Is there a scientific explaination?
But i see ppl doing it and athletes so what's wrong with my mom?

my parents tell me the same thing they said something will happen so I just stay away for 30 mins and then do it
its good for you. cause it washes your skin before the dirt and sweat settles in and clogs your pores. Showering right after prevents acne and athletes foot.

Thats an opinion/superstition I think. I don't know how that could have that effect. Maybe she doesn't want her baby dating yet and wants you to smell?
I think shes trying to save on the water bill. I dont think its been scientifically proven that showering after activity will hurt you in anyway. I think ur moms just paranoid or something.
Uh, no. I take a shower after I get all sweaty. I'm 26 and still alive. I can walk, too, lol. You DO however need to let your body cool off naturally. Don't take a hot shower. Take one that is the same as your body temperature... should feel slightly cool, not cold. Use some soap. Get the stink off.
what? why would it be bad? u don't want to go around smelling like a sweaty pig. shower if u want to. it's not going to do anything to u except make u smell better
I am not familiar with this ritual. I like to take a shower after sports. It feels good to my body plus everyone around me is glad that I took a shower because I am no longer smelly.
I've never heard of this, you may want to research this. We took showers after each practice and game. During my high school years.
When you play sports, you sweat. Odor causing bacteria, and other types of bacteria, thrive in that warm, moist environment. By taking a shower, you clean yourself of these bad bacteria and germs. You will smell better and be healthier. I have never heard of NOT taking showers after exercise, and I know of no ill effects from cleaning your body at such times.
As far as not taking a shower when you're really tired, that's only a problem if you fall asleep. If you fall asleep in the shower, you could fall down and hurt yourself, or you could get water in your mouth, inhale it and drown.
Actually you should wait an hour. Your body is still recovering from the exercise and you are still sweating.
Mom doesn't want to wash more of your funky clothes.
humm well maybe wait 10 minutes to cool down and then get in the shower so u dont get athlettes foot

no you should have a shower after u excersize so you can clean out ur skin. u WILL be able 2 walk when you get older. not being able to walk is just folk tale to make people not shower
I think it may cause a negative effect when you shower with cold water cause your body is releasing heat after sports.
