Instead of counting calories though, maybe you could just start eating healthier stuff and going for walks. Exercise is the best way. Don't eat any junk food, and if you must, try eating sugar free chocolate pudding or something better for you. There's a big difference between saturated fats and healthy fats. You do need some fat but not from processed foods and empty calories.
What are empty calories? Donuts, chips, any pastries are very bad, all that stuff.
Try eating several small meals a day which consist of 1 protein and 1 vegetable and you will lose a lot of weight. Also try lifting very light weights and doing high reps for 10 minutes a day. OR -- if you're up for it and want even faster results, for 3 minutes a day do sprints! That will burn up the calories faster than you can imagine and you will have a killer body. I hear ya..i had 3 kids & my body is still screwy. I do treadmill walking for 30 min. a day, plus toning exercises. Also eat more fruit/beggies & do your BEST to cut out junk.
well, dont try any crazy diets. do it the old fashioned way. cut fatty snacks and sweets. eat healthy. do stomach crunches, push-ups sit-ups. anything. and yes, fast walking is exercise, although you have to do it a long time if you want to burn enough calories to make a difference. try about 1800-1500 calories a day, thats keeping it healthy.
First off you should probably intake a 1000 calories a day.
Drink lots of water, if you cant drink crystal light.
Eats lots of fruits and vegetables that hold a lot of water in them.
Do not eat bananas, corn, or potatoes, these are high in startch.
Trying walking backwords and forwards this will help your leg muscles.
Eat high fibered foods like oatmeal and rice cakes(they fill you up faster!)
And if you can do plenty of crunches.
You should lose about 2-3 pounds a week.

You are already a wise woman, don't set yourself up to fail and realize this is a process not an event. Your first step should be to monitor what your putting in, garbage in garbage out.
