Question:
Okay, so everyone tells me I need to stop losing weight (I went from 147 lbs size 11 to 98 lbs size 00). and im 5'4'' female, 15 yrs old btw. I lost this weight in a little less than a year, but I KNOW i still have flab on my stomach. It's not some weird self-image problem, I know there is flab. But im size 00 and i weigh 98 lbs!! why is this? It doesnt make sense to me. People have been telling me it's probably just loose skin thatll tighten up eventually, if i work out my abs. Is this it? Can anyone else give me any suggestions?
Answers:
you need to excercise, not just diet
I'm also a 00 15 year old. It's not flab, what you're pinching is skin and underlying tissue. Crunches make it a lot better, like not so prominent.
It could be excess tissue -- flab, as you say -- or it could be your omentum. The omentum is the body's deep reserve of fat threaded through the abdominal cavity. It is the absolute last thing to reduce in size after a serious weight loss. It's why most people gain in the waist first, and why their waist is the very last thing to reduce. Look up the "omentum".
