What food can I eat a lot of and still lose weight?

Question:
I amd looking to lose weight and along with exercise I am going to be cutting back on calories. However, I think this will be difficult for me because I like to munch on stuff, especially while watching tv or sewing etc. Is there a food I can eat a lot of that doesn't have a lot of calories?

Answers:
To maintain a healthy lifestyle & get back to the size you want to be try this:

Try making small changes, if you really love a certain food that is ok, just cut down your portions, you don't need to deprive yourself to be healthy. I myself am a huge "grazer" I eat a lot of fruit & veggies as snacks, baby carrots, snap peas, grape tomatoes, grapes, berries, peaches. I also love the Flat Earth veggie chips, quaker ranch rice cakes, popcorn, whole grain crackers & string cheese. These are all small snacks with low fat & low calories.

As for your overall diet try to cut down on your calories, eat lean protein, and whole grains - bread is not bad, so long as it is whole grain & high in fiber, also eat your veggies & drink lots of water. It is best to eat 1200-1500 calories per day, if you eat less than this your metabilism will slow down, making it harder to lose weight. NO fast food, no soft drinks (diet or regular) no eating unless you are hungery.

That being said, never underestimate the power of a good workout routine. Lots of Cardio & weight training. do 30-45 minutes of strength training 3-4 times per week followed by 45-50 minutes of cardio 5-6 times per week. do your strength training 1st, it burns more calories. I also do loads of crunches prior to & after cardio. Also walk more during the day. Take a walk on your lunch break, walk to the store, aim for 10,000 steps per day a pedomiter is a great idea. The more active you are the more calories you will burn & the more weight you will lose.

To stay healthy & not get discouraged remember this:
It is not recommended that you lose more than 2-3 pounds per week. Rapid weight loss can be dangerous & is hard to maintain. losing weight is difficult because 1 lb is 3000 calories, so you must burn 3000 calories per pound you want to lose.

if you really want to lose the weight you are going to have to use dicipline & work hard. your health is worth it!
lettuce and most other veggies and pickles.. and most kinds of fruit. if youre looking for snack food unbuttered popcorn (check the package)
fruits and veggies
You should munch on celery. It has fiber, and you burn more calories chewing than you are taking in, with celery.
lettuce it only has 54 calories in a head
That's simple - Veggies ^_^.
Pretty much all fruits/vegetables. Pickels, celery, cantaloupe, are especially good ones. Non-fat jello, salsa, saltine crackers, are also pretty good.
You can eat all of the vegetables you want and not gain weight (except for potatoes of course)
Your habit of munching on stuff needs to be addressed.
They make an organic whole grain cracker called MARY'S GONE CRACKERS and it serves me well for the munching.

Cut up some fresh fruits and veggies. They are low on calories and high in all the good stuff you need.
You can't beat raw veggies for a snack. Celery, carrots, broccoli, peppers, cucumber, etc
umm...I am not that sure. Just watch what you eat and look at the labels and the fat and satruated fat. Try fruit. Fruit is healthy and barely has any calories. You could also try those 100 calorie packs. Those are good I have heard.

Fruit would be good, altho nothing ever works as good as chocolate. I recently did a 3 day diet where you lose 10 pounds in 3 days, not bad food, it wasn't difficult to do and it changed the way i ate and i carried on losing weight for a few weeks till i started back at the munching in the evening so i am going to do it every 2 months or so to keep the weight off and stop me munching on rubbish. If your interested in the diet look at http://www.geocities.com/momandad.geo/di...
turn your speakers down before you go on to the website it has awful loud music.
Just eat only complex carbs, lean meat, and lots of veggies. It will make your meals low caloried and yet filling and healthy.

Cut your soda and juices. Learn to drink Chinese tea, they can help you lose weight. http://lclfhfhpchinesetea.blogspot.com...

Do brisk walking. They are great for burning body and tummy fats.

I am on low carb, low fat, high fibre, high protein and a hour brisk walk 5 times a week, and I have lost 31lbs and gain better health. I am now maintaining my 108lbs for more than a year.
