How do these foods 'fight fat'"?

I picked up the latest issue of Fitness (A magazine). I dont usually spend my money on magazines but I was preparing myself for a long night of house sitting.

I have about 60lbs to use so I figured that maybe I can get some new ideas/tips/exercise moves, and that a fitness magazine would benefit me more than any of the other magazines.

Well, inside this magazine are "44 super foods that fight fat"
Some foods on this list include Walnuts, blueberries, oranges, apples, bell peppers, onions, tomatoes, basil, black peppers, chives, cinnamon, garlic, and plain nonfat yogurt. ((There were actually 44 foods, but that is a list of the ones that I like))

However, nowhere does it say WHY or HOW these foods 'fight fat'

Foods like that are anti-oxidents and help flush your system out. they are healthy for you of course, as for fat just don't eat as much fat as you might be eating. Me I don't go over 25 grams of fat a day. we all know what food is healthy, a salad versus a cheeseburger, but most people pick the burger. diet and exercise and no fat will keep you looking great all the time.
what i suggest is look at the food's nutrition facts some nutrients
