Answers:
You don't have to just eat salads and celery sticks to lose weight.

I lost over 85lbs. in 1 year while pretty much eating the same foods I always have (steak, pasta, french fries, etc...).

The key is moderation. I love pasta but too much of it and you will blow up like a balloon. You just have to cut down on the portion size of the tasty "bad" foods and increase the portion of the "not tasty" "good" foods.

That way you still eat the foods you love and actually get full at the same time.

You can also alter the things you eat slightly. Such as switching from white bread to wheat (I don't care what anybody says, there isn't much difference in the taste, and it is much more healthy for you). Add fresh fruits to your cereal in the mornings. Add stir-fried veggies to accompany your steak (Bell Peppers are especially good with grilled sirloin).

That's pretty much how I did it. I didn't go on a "diet", I just changed the way I went about my diet. You can still lose weight and eat nachos, you just have to be disciplined enough to not eat the whole bag, lol.

I hope this helps :)
mixed fruit salads, apples, any fruit!
almonds, walnuts
fat free pretzels
grilled apple and cheddar cheese sandwiches on whole grain bread (use cooking spray, not butter)
granola of any flavor + yogurt or soy yogurt
steamed asparagus with lemon pepper
Okay I'll list the kind of things I eat that are healthy:

hummus: 27 cal per tsp I think
you can make it! or buy it, I like to make it
wheat thins: buy reduced fat of multigrain 150 cal per serving
celery sticks with peanut butter: cheap and yummy
crystal clear: Has 0 cal in it and tastes sweet! I found some for 50 cents per bottle!
100 cal packs in general, eat one for a good snack
rice cake (quaker) 46- 50 cal per delicious rice cake. You can add peanut butter to the apple cinnamon or multigrain ones and make a delicious sandwich!
rice: eat brown rice with vegetables
fruit!: Not always cheap but always low cal, nectarines, melons, (Watermelon has very very low cal)strawberries
gum: good to stop a craving sometimes

I hope this helps!
I dunno if you eat fish, but fish helps you lose weight quickly. Also eating healthy stuff such as chicken or turkey burgers with veggies or salad on the side. You can make stir frys and stuff, just avoid ones with alot of calories or fatty/salty dressings. You don't have to starve yourself on salads.Just be smart about what you eat and try eating smaller meals a few times a day-this will keep your metabolism working all day.As long as your sticking to healthy foods and exercising regularly you will start to lose weight.
I got a gym membership last month bc i had gained 8lbs while i was on birth control.I'm 5'5 and weighed 128 : / So, I have been going to the gym 3-4x per/wk & my bf has been cooking me healthy but yummy dinners and i've already lost 4lbs.(the healthy way.)
Good Luck!
I am 5' 10" and 150 is a good weight. I like Zone Bars or some kind of protein bar. They have a lot of vitamins and for me it's a kind of "Candy Bar" better than a real candy bar. I was dieting a few years ago and would eat one for a snack. Lost 50 lbs.
