What's the diference between fat and trans fat in foods?

Question:

Answers:
fat is a term that encloses trans fats as well as monounsaturated, polyunsaturated and saturated fats, which are basically just different in their chemical composition.

I dont know how much you would know about unsaturated fats, but you have probably heard they are good right?.. and saturated arent so good... right?
that just means that when they get processed in the body, saturated fats have been shown to have more negative effects, and cause diseases, opposite to mono and polyunsaturated which help reduce risk for those diseases.

well... transfats arent naturally found in food. transfats are fats that originally were unsaturated (good), but get chemically altered by humans to affect the texture or flavor of foods.
the bad thing is that after this alteration, the body doesnt process these as unsaturated, but much more like saturated fats.
not only that, but it is believed that transfats might increase risk for diseases like cancer.

it doesnt mean that if you eat trans fats you will get cancer, but I would still recommend you to stick with either healthy (mono and polyunsaturated) or plain normal saturated fat.
