Chest pain during Chair Dips?

Question:
I might not be doing the chair dips correctly, but every time i do them and lower myself my chest starts hurting and feels like its going to enclave

It feels like someone layed a really heavy hammer on my chest and my chest bones are about to break and enclave

I'm not sure if its normal because it sure doesn't feel like its working a chest muscle, feels more like its harming my chest.

Is this normal, and does it go away after you keep doing it
or am i doing something wrong

Answers:
i dont think it's normal to feel hammering pain on your chest doing the dips unless you're not doing the exercise properly. I suggest you stop doing it and probably do other chest exercises like bench/dumbbell press or use the cables if you have them. Simple push ups are also good to develop the chest muscles. If these exercises still hurts your chest (more than the pain of stressed muscles), i suggest u go see a doctor.
