Is it possible to drop 3% of my body fat percentage in a month?
Question:
I'm 5'5 and a half, and currently weigh 139lbs...I wear a size 6.
Anyways, is it possible? I'm doing weight training once to twice a week, intense cardio (running and sprinting) 4-5 times a week, and consume around 1200-1300kcal per day. I'm on the Zone...that means I eat meat/sea food and egg whites everyday for max protein to help preserve my muscle mass and aid in fat loss.
will i be able to do it? anyone with experience on this?
My ultimate goal to to get down to 22-23% within the next two to three months, and to be able to wear a size 2 ( I'm kinda small framed and was wearing a size 4 at 26% BF, I kinda put on abit of weight in the last buncha months).
Answers:
keep doing what you're doing
Yes.
it is possible to lose that within a month with some hardcore excersise. I will not advise you to go below 25% body fat as you will become more susceptible to illness
it is no problem . but i think you are slight now . do not let the weight problem make you unhappy. just to do more sports and go on a diet , but not to much , i think health should come first
Through self control, proper diet, lots of excercise. Stretching, sounds like your doing a lot of good things.
In a month, its going to be difficult. Good luck

I think it's just about achieveable. Not losing more than 2lb per week, you can lose about 8lb in 4 weeks..however, you have to expect even with strength training and lots of protein, you will see a little bit of muscle loss.
To keep muscle loss to a minimum, I would raise your calories slightly and increase strength training to at least 3 days a week and possibly reduce cardio to just 4 times a week. If you find that more than 25% of your weight loss is from loss of lean mass, then you need to increase strength training and your intake of protein and reduce cardio.
Good luck : )
