Is this a good method of trying to lose weight..?

mkay. So, I wanna lose like 5 pounds before I go back to school..August 20something...If I start eating ONLY fruits and veggies and drinking only water..will it let me lose the fat? Any other tips would be nice. :]

only 5 lbs? go sit in a sauna for 30 minutes or take an exlax
Well i would suggest a different method as although you would loose the weight it would be hard for your body to cope with and there could be some nasty consequences. Try eating healthily but less and do lots of exercise, swim, jump rope and run and so on...Also if you must drink sodas, drink diet sodas otherwise you are just consuming empty calories.
Eating fresh fruits and veggies and drinking lots of water is a good idea, but it won't satisfy you. You only want to lose 5 lbs., and it's August 9th. Add some lean protein, like healthy choice turkey or chicken. And it wouldn't hurt either to add a slice or 2 or whole wheat bread or 8 or 10 whole wheat crackers to it too. Salads really help me in weight loss, and they have those salad spritzers that have almost no calories at all. Also, exercise is just as important as dieting. It's hard in the hot weather, try swimming or walking/riding a bike early in the morning or late in the evening when it's cooler. Good Luck : )
NOOO A FRUIT AND VEGGIE ONLY DIET IS NOT HEALTHY! I found this out when i took my 6th grade health class last year. Okay. No. Fruits and veggies lack some of the important nutrients that the human body NEEDS to survive. It has NO protien whatsoever. Proitein is nickednamed the building bloks of the body. What if you fall and skin you leg. Protien is what helps your body repair the wound and heal it. You don't want it to nver heal do you?? You will find protien in meat,poultry,fish,beans,and eggs.

Also your body needs complex carbs,wheat,grain,and enrgy found in wholw wheat breads. As a matter of fact.grains is what your diet should mostly consist of. When was the last time you took a glance at a food pyramid? Seriously. Just eat right,cut down on the beef. Maybe you should only eat fish and chicken as your meat. My reemendation. Eat not just veggies but a variety of healthy foods and excerciese and eat right.
this is not a good way and you will most likely get diarrhea. (honestly) as well as being so hungry you may give up and raid the fridge.

eat your veggies but also eat the following
* lots of oatmeal add fruits or raisins and very little sugar
nonfat or skim milk if you need it

* Drink plenty of green tea and if you don't have it any tea will
do minimal sugar or honey
* always go turkey it is better for you than chicken
turkey ham, turkey bacon and ground turkey are great
* 100% whole grain bread if you eat sandwhiches
* eggwhite omlets with ur favorite veggies and turkey ham
* use sunflower oil for cooking and olive oil for salads
( olive oil becomes bad for you once its heated)
* low fat youghurt and cottage cheese
* dark chocolate 70% minimum cocoa will curb your
sweetooth 1-2 small pieces ( no milk choc. ever)
* brown rice with steamed fish or veggies

good luck remeber these foods are good for you and if you eat to little you will most likley be too hungry to stay on the diet as well as feel very weak and tired

diets often are not enough you should think about a daily fast walk for 30-40 minutes 5 days a week
