Treadmill suggestions please(staying motivated)....?

What is the best method for a good TREADMILL workout minus getting bored? What do you do to stay motivated to use the treadmill consistantly?

Thank you.

Answers:    Try interval training. Its a lot more influential than steady state cardio.
What you do is a 5 minute warmup. Then intervals. I usually do 20 seconds full out running as briskly as you can, followed by a 40 second easy run (to arrest your breath) then do the sequence 12 times, followed by a 5 minute cool down. You could also do 30 second going as fast as you can, near a one minute easy run and repeat as all right. Do that for 20 minutes, plus the 10 minutes in thaw up and cool downs.
It's very provoking but quite decisive, and really only wants to be done 2-3 times a week (which helps beside the motivation bit).
Personally I dont recommend trying to read, watch tv, etc because how not easy are you really working out then? An ipod works wonders though.
Best of luck
i usually listen to my iPod or a adjectives cd with songs that are motivating. That seem to make the time exceed a whole lot quicker!
