How Much Should I lift???


Question:
I'm a 14 year old female that is 5'6'' and weighs 145 pounds. I was wanting to get some more musle in my arms and get buff. Right now im lifting 16 lbs on one single hand. And 28 on both arms about 5 times a week.Can anyone give me some advise? Should I eat more and what all should I do? Also how long will it take to see results?

well since ur a female it will probably take longer to build muscle since it takes testosterone and other hormones to help build muscle. the best advise i can give you is to go to the gym at least 3 times a week and make sure you start out with light weights so your muscles get warmed up... then after a few of the light wheights move on up to the bigger ones and just keep on pushing yourself more than likely since your a female you will probably get "cut" first before you start gaining muscle
I'm not sure what you should be doing at your age. I know that when I was lifting, I tried to do too much weight and it causes too much mass in my opinion for a woman. Try doing smaller weights with more reps instead of trying to lift so much. You don't want to look like a man.
